Selling Sickness. What Woody can teach us.

Do you think twice before popping a pill? Or are you like most people and just trust that the FDA-approved drug, prescribed to you by your doctor, is safe?

We are taught to inherently believe that the FDA and our entire medical system is looking out for our own best interests. They’ve reviewed the pharmaceutical company objectively and done all the proper clinical studies on those pills, right? Right?

Kim empowers both consumers and the medical profession to dig deeper, ask more questions and know that not everything that pertains to FDA-approved drugs is exactly what it seems. From industry funded advocacy groups and spokespeople to recognizing innovation marketing and media hype, she’ll cover everything you need to know to make smarter choices.

She tells the tragic story of her husband Woody’s death as a cautionary tale of what can happen when you trust the system too much.

Not only will you leave better informed, so you can make better choices, but you might just save someone’s life.

Who Me?? The Story of An Accidental Advocate

Kim wasn’t a boat rocker, a pot stirrer or an authority questioner. She was just a regular, everyday person living her life.

But after her husband’s tragic antidepressant-induced suicide, that all changed.

Kim was grieving and confused and she was going to channel that grief to make sure no one else had to go through the pain she was going through.

Kim’s is a David vs. Goliath story. She took on Big Pharma, the FDA and challenged the entire mental health establishment. With a relentless commitment to expose the dangers of antidepressants.

Through passion, perseverance and moral courage we all have the ability to right a wrong, to change something we believe needs changing.

Kim will show you how one unlikely person can make a big difference. She will help you find the confidence, framework, and strategies to boldly choose to make the change you seek.

Are you Victim, Survivor or Thriver?

When something happens to you, outside your control, what do you do? Blame, hold on, relive your past over and over? Make excuses to keep you in the same situation? Or are you a survivor?

However, what does it take to become a thriver, standing up, taking back control of your life, and embracing what is?

Kim draws from her life experiences of loss, resilience, and the power of choice to demonstrate what it means to go from survivor to thriver by finding your power, your strength, your voice. Learn how to turn your “story” into your purpose and transform your life.

Kim offers the inspiration and practical tools to help people at all levels deal with change, uncertainty, life’s disruptions, and adversity with the thriver mindset.

rethinking Mental Health

When it comes to the topic of mental health these days, it seems like “more” is always the answer. More mental health services, more screenings, more treatments, more pills.

And now with COVID-19, we are facing a mental health crisis like never before.

So, what if less is actually more.

Kim infuses a healthy dose of skepticism into the medical establishment’s narrative about mental health,  and offers different perspectives on treatment. She gives you the tools and skills you need to handle daily mental health stresses, without defaulting to a pill solution.
